KEEP PROGRAME:

Kidney evaluation Program ( KEEP) is a patient wale fare program one part of Utkal kidney foundation’s activities. It has continuously organized by Utkal Kidny Foundation from 2009. Since then 3000 patients were screened, advised under this activity from different places of Odisha.

Also a study done on undetermined kidney disease at Narsinpur Block, Cuttack District, Odisha which is now in epidemic form. 260 patients screened and data collected for analysis. In analysis we got 68 % patients already have Kidney problem. Further study is going on collaboration with AIPH ( Asian Institute Of public Health).

KIDNEY CARE AND RESEARCH CENTER

A free weekly patient care center has started (10.03.2016)on the occasion of World kidney day by Utkal Kidney Foundation at Champeswar, Narsingpur Block, Cuttack, Odisha. It has completed 3 month of regular patient care. Total 585 new and 350 follow-up patients taken care of by doctors and volunteers of Utkal kidney foundation.

VILLAGE LEVEL HEALTH WORKER EDUCATION PROGRAME

Utkal Kidney Foundation has taken few steps to increase kidney disease awareness at root level of our health system, as we all know if root is strong then whole tree will be strong.

On the occasion of World Kidney day (10.03.2016) UKF was organized an educational programme for all Asha, Anganwadi and Helth workers of Narsingpur block. Total 400 health workers attended the programe.

Next planning to do similar educational programme all blocks of Odisha.

Plan to train 5000 health workers.

 SEMINARS ON KIDNEY DISEASE DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT FOR DOCTORS

Utkal Kidney Foundation has planned to organize seminars for doctors on Kidney disease to empower them to diagnose and treat kidney patients. It is very important to early diagnosis of Kidney disease so that patient can saved from kidney failure.  

Plan to train 2000 general physicians.

DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAME

Every year utkal kidney foundation organize a educational program for dialysis technicians of all dialysis center in Odisha.

   More than 200 dialysis technicians attended this programme.

KIDNEY TRANSPLANT PATIENT AND FAMILY MEMBER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAME

Every year UKF is organizing educational programme for kidney transplant patients and their family members. More than 700 transplant patient attaining the program.

This year planning to conduct a sports competition for transplant patients.
