Incidence & prevalence of kidney disease both Acute Kidney Injury & Chronic Kidney Disease is growing exponentially. It is now estimated that 10% of general population is suffering from some form of Chronic Kidney Disease. Number of kidney failure patient requiring dialysis & kidney transplantation has increased so much, that country like India with limited facility for treatment, patients are dying without any medical help .As there was no Organization in Odisha solely dedicated for kidney ailment the concept of UKF was conceived with the aim of, "Kidney Care, Research, Education, Transplantation"
Utkal Kidney Foundation is a non profit trust registered in the state of Odisha in the year 2003. Since than it is working to improve condition of kidney patients. It seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
